Sip of the Week: Copain “Tous Ensemble” Anderson Valley Rosé

It’s officially rosé season (although we’ve been drinking it right through winter). And our latest pick is the 2011 Copain “Tous Ensemble” Anderson Valley Rosé from Mendocino County, California. Think juicy strawberries and watermelon and a hint of herbs, and start planning the menu. This lean rosé from a lovely winery in the Russian River Valley (and a French-influenced winemaker) has just enough body for a before-dinner drink but the acidity carries it though dinnertime. And the pretty pink color just screams “hot summer night.”

Priced around $19; available from Wine Library and K&L Wine Merchants.
